On the request of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, the Federal Ministry of Finance has decided to nominate a focal person at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to assist the overseas Pakistanis regarding tax matters.
Commissioner OPC Punjab Afzal Bhatti apprised the Federal Minister about the issues being faced by the overseas Pakistanis. He requested the minister to nominate a focal person at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to help and assist the overseas Pakistanis and their families for answering their queries related to tax matters. Federal Minister Finance Ishaq Dar agreed to the proposal and assured that the focal person would be nominated at the FBR without delay. The Federal Minister also desired that if the Commission or the Overseas Pakistanis wanted to submit any proposal for the benefit of the overseas Pakistanis then they might submit it at the earliest, so that it could be considered for the next budget.
