The Special Security Unit (SSU) of the Sindh Police has become the first ever counter terrorism and security outfit in the country that has been certified by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), as per a press statement issued on Tuesday.
The United Kingdom Accreditation Systems (UKAS) certified the SSU as ISO 9001:2008 on its professional quality services, read the statement.
It added that the SSU was now in the list of the world’s finest security organisations certified by the UKAS.
“Most of the ISO recognised organisations comprises of the top police agencies present in the UKAS. The world’s premier police units, including the Arizona Phoenix Police Department and the Duabi Police, are also ISO 9001:2008 certified.”
It was further stated that the SSU was fully ready to counter terrorism and the recruitments were made on merit and tests that were conducted by the National Testing Service.
