Our political leaders do not realise that the kind of electioneering we have seen in NA-122 does not happen in any civilised democracy. Election campaigns rely on national policies and issues rather than personalities.
We know that our political leaders are no saints and that the majority of corruption scandals may be credible but the remedy lies in indiscriminate accountability like it is taking place in Sindh, Karachi in particular, and to some extent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
