Punjab police finalised the security plan for by-elections in Lahore and Okara and all officers and officials have been directed to remain unbiased on the said occasion.
This was stated by Punjab IG Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera while holding a meeting at his office on Thursday. He said around 86,088 officers and officials would be deployed at 494 polling stations in Lahore and Okara including 17 gazetted officers, 659 upper subordinates, 4542 lower subordinates, 494 Qomi Razakar, 1976 officials from special police . He said that patrolling teams would patrol all the polling stations under the supervision of divisional SPs.
