Two suspects arrested

Separately, two suspected robbers were arrested red-handed by Landhi police. Police said that the two men were trying to flee after snatching a motorcycle from a citizen at gunpoint when police personnel followed and arrested them after an exchange of fire. The suspects arrested have been identified as Junaid and Ali Jamil. Police also recovered a motorcycle and a pistol from their possession. A case has been registered while further investigations are underway.

Infant’s body found

The body of an infant was found from the roof of a house located in a slum in Darvesh Colony within the jurisdiction of the Ferozabad police station on Thursday. SHO Aurangzaib Khattak said police attended the scene after locals called them up about the discovery of the body, parts of which had apparently been "eaten up by birds or pets".

The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and later moved to a morgue. An investigation is continuing.
