Ex-UC chairman hurts 2 brothers
DASKA: A former union council (UC) chairman allegedly injured two brothers over a petty issue in the area of Bombanwala police on Tuesday. Reportedly, Shahid and his brother Sajjad were sitting at their shop when accused Irfan Alvi came and opened fire at them, leaving them injured. The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital.
THREE GAMBLERS HELD: Three gamblers were arrested in the area of Sadr police on Tuesday. On a tip-off, police raided village Bhola Musa and arrested accused Mukhtar, Habib and Murad and recovered Rs 6,000 stake money from them.
MAN ROBBED: Three bandits deprived a man of cash, a cell phone and a motorcycle in the area of Sadr police on Tuesday. Nawaz Ahmed was heading towards home when three bandits intercepted him and snatched Rs 52,000, a cell phone and his motorcycle.
THREE HELD: Police Tuesday arrested three drug peddlers and recovered narcotics from their possession on Tuesday. Plice arrested accused Ashraf, Ilyas and Khawar and recovered 3,550 gram charas and 23 liquor bottles from them.
