The PakWheels Islamabad Auto Show 2015 held recently was no doubt highly appreciated by local car fans who visited the show to know more about the latest auto brands, motorcycles and different car accessories. Despite such a vast display of local and international cars, the only thing missing were locally-assembled cars.
In auto shows around the world, local manufacturers display their products. However, that was not the case in this auto show. It was discouraging to see the lack of interest and participation from our own auto industry and auto manufactures. Local auto assemblers are requested to participate in such auto shows so that car enthusiasts can be updated about locally-assembled cars and are able to personally see them.

I had a chance to visit the PakWheels Islamabad Auto Show 2015. A car enthusiast, I found the show up to the standards of international automobile shows, displaying all the latest cars and motorcycles arriving in the market. The show featured many different categories of automobiles – from vintage cars to the most modern sports, luxury, off-roaders and exotic cars.
In addition, I also saw some locally-manufactured automobiles that were put on display to encourage those who mostly do not find any opportunity to showcase their creations. Usually, we do not see such grand auto exhibitions in our country but unexpectedly I discovered that the mega event was truly informative and useful. I hope these kinds of events will be held again in the capital.
