SUKKUR: Sukkur NAB served Section 19 notice on the deputy commissioner of Khairpur, the accountant of TMA, Kingri, and others on Saturday.
Reports said that the DC of Khairpur, Munnawar Hussain Mithani, and the accounts officer of TMA, Kingri, Altaf Hussain Sheikh, through their counsel, Farooq Pirzada, secured pre-arrest bail from the Sindh High Court’s circuit bench in Sukkur.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Additional Director of DG NAB office in Sukkur, Shahzada Imtiaz, and Deputy Director Masood Ahmad had conducted a raid at the Kingri TMA office in Khairpur a few days ago.

The Sukkur NAB office had received complaints about alleged misappropriation of Rs300 million in the funds of the TMA Kingri, irregularities in development schemes, release of huge amount for ghost schemes and illegal appointments.
Reports said the NAB office served Section 19 notice on the DC of Khairpur, who is the administrator of the TMA, and demanded clarifications.
Reports said the DC, after getting the Section 19 notice, requested the SHC for grant of an interim pre-arrest bail, which the court granted.
