The students of Roots School System, Harley Region, Ivy and DHA-I Campus paid tribute to their grandparents in a befitting manner on the Grandparents’ Day celebrations held on Thursday, says a press release.
The Rootsians observed the day with enthusiasm, feeling of warmth, love and gratitude. The children had written essays, poems and songs for their grandparents. They had also made lovely cards for their grandparents. Each child spoke his heart out in expressing his love for the grandparents in the morning assembly. All children had to say one thing in common “when things go wrong, when I am low, when I am sad, when I am lonely and when I fail, I know my grandparents are my refuge”.
The students made paper flowers for their grandparents along with beautiful cards expressing their fondness for theirgrandparents. The children expressed love and gratitude for their grandparents through melodious songs in the morning assembly. The children said that grandparents are their life and soul and the best educators.
Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq, Founder Director of Roots School System said “Lucky are the children who are growing up in the love, guidance
and protection of their Grandparents”. She prayed for
their long lives, health & happiness. The children were sent home with the greeting cards for their grandparents.
