Crowd catches two suspects robbing superstore
Two suspects robbing a superstore in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area were caught on Sunday by a crowd who handed them over to the police after severely beating them up.
Police said the two suspects had reached the superstore on a motorcycle where they started looting cash and other valuables at gunpoint.
However, as people gathered at the scene, they initially caught one of the suspects while his companion managed to escape under the cover of fire.
Police said the crowd followed the fleeing suspect and managed to catch him as well. The mob thrashed the suspects severely until the police arrived at the scene and took the suspects into custody.
Police also claimed to have seized weapons from the suspects’ possession. Cases were registered against them while further investigations are under way.
