The rupee on Tuesday weakened against the dollar in the inter bank foreign exchange dealings amid increased dollar demand from the importers, traders said. The rupee closed at 104.50 fell nine paisas in value per dollar as compared to Monday’s close of 104.41 in the official market. The rupee-dollar parity quoted between 104.51 and 104.56 during the session.
