Contract workers to get regular jobs

LAHORE: Services of more than 9,050 employees working on contract basis, including those in Line, Grid, Revenue and doing ministerial jobs will be brought on regular basis on the orders of the Pakistan Electric Supply Company Managing Director.
Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union, in a press statement has thanked the Federal Minister Energy and the Federal Secretary Energy and the Managing Director PEPCO for accepting the longstanding demand of the union.
He assured that the young employees would continue to perform their national duties to the best of their ability in the national electricity distribution companies to provide better services to the electricity consumers.
