The Hamdard Foundation has distributed 5,000 ration bags among the deserving families affected by the COVID-19 lockdown across the country. The foundation has also provided protective medicines to on-duty police and other law enforcement officers in Karachi.
According to a press release issued by the foundation, daily-wage earners have been severely affected by the lockdown, which has been enforced by the government to prevent the possible spread of the corona virus in the country.
Recognising their needs and hardship they face, the Hamdard foundation distributed 5,000 ration bags among deserving families in a dignified way in different cities of the country, including Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore and Quetta.
These bags include essential food items along with medicines that will help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. In addition, law enforcement officials who are at the frontline against the COVID-19 were given protective medicine packets, especially prepared by Hamdard.
These packets included hand sanitisers, Hamdard Qulzum, Hamdard Infuza and Hamdard Instant Joshanda. This was the first phase and in second phase, more bags will be distributed in the holy month of Ramazan.
In a countrywide programme, the Hamdard Foundation Pakistan has distributed 1,000 ration bags in different areas of Lahore, 500 ration bags in Peshawar and 200 ration bags in Quetta among the deserving families so that they can pass through this difficult situation with dignity and honour.
