385 kite, chemical string roll manufacturers held

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad police Tuesday arrested 385 kite and chemical string roll manufacturers and registered 235 cases against them.

According to the police PRO Inspector Amer Waheed, the police recovered 70,000 kites and several chemical-coated string rolls from possession of the accused.

The accused were going to sell the kites and string rolls in market.

Talking to reporters, the PRO said the campaign against kite manufacturers would continue.

Sarfraz Ahmad of Johal Adda, Khurrianwala was jobless for the last many months. Reportedly, coronavirus lockdown situation worsened his financial condition and in desperation he consumed poison and died.

TWO HELD OVER FIRING INTO AIR: Peoples Colony Police Tuesday arrested two youths of People's Colony on charges of firing in to the air.

Police detained Zubair Khalid and Jameel Naveed when a video got viral on social media about their firing into the air.
