Railways engine sheds open
LAHORE: On Monday, Railways Engine Sheds have been opened in Lahore and Faisalabad by Pakistan Railways.
According to Amir Nisar Chaudhry, Divisional Superintendents Lahore, the engine sheds had been closed because of cases of coronavirus. Now, these sheds have been re-opened. He said workers have been working in three shifts in workshops in Faisalabad and Lahore.
He shared the strengths of workers. Around 150 workers are working in shift-A, 100 workers in shift-B and 50 workers have been working in shift- C. On daily basis, 10 engines are being provided for freight trains, said DS railways Lahore.
The workers are taking precautionary measures. He said that chlorine spray sprinkled at Raiwind railways station offices and residential colonies of railways to contain coronavirus.
