Body to be formed in Karak to end loadshedding, overbilling
KARAK: A local welfare organisation, Khattak Ittehad, on Thursday claimed that the issue of overbilling and loadshedding would be resolved in the district and hinted to form a committee to resolve all issues relating to power with the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) authorities. This was stated by the district president of the body, Maulana Mirzaqeem, and other office-bearers while talking to media persons here. They said they met Pesco Superintending Engineer (SE) Gohar Bangash and discussed some practicable suggestions relating to load-shedding and other issues of electricity in the district. They claimed that they informed him about more than 18 hours’ load-shedding being carried out in the district on a daily basis, which also created drinking water shortage. They said the elders agreed with the Pesco official to form a committee on district level, comprising of the elders of all areas to sort out a permanent solution to the issues of unscheduled load-shedding and overbilling.
