Kite flying claims two lives

KASUR: Two people, including a 12-year-old boy, died in different kite flying related incidents on Wednesday.
Fahad was flying a kite on the roof of his house at Kot Murad Khan when he slipped and sustained a severe head injury. He was rushed to DHQ hospital and the doctors referred him to Lahore General Hospital where he died.
Muhammad Asif of New Bazaar Kasur suffered fatal electric shock when a kite’s metal string that got entangled with high transmission wire touched his head. He died at the DHQ hospital. He was the father of four children.
Meanwhile, 30-year-old motorcyclist Muhammad Zulifqar sustained injuries in a road accident on Ferozpur Road near Iqbalnagar. Reportedly, people continued hoisting kites despite ban.
