Three relatives drown in river

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three persons drowned while swimming in the river at Katcha area here, sources said on Sunday. They said that Haji Ahmad, 37, Aziz, 20, and Muhammad Saad, 15, the residents of Darya Khan in Bhakkar district, had gone for picnic to the river on Saturday. The three were swimming in the river when slipped into the deep water and drowned. The locals fished out the bodies of Haji Ahmad and Aziz but the body of Saad could not be found due to darkness and deep water. Later, the Dera Ismail Khan Rescue 1122 was informed about the incident. A team of divers led by District Emergency Officer Kashif Salam reached the spot and started rescue operation. The body of Saad was fished out early Sunday. The locals said that Aziz and Saad were cousins while Ahmad was their uncle.
