3 more tested positive for COVID-19 in ICT

Rawalpindi : At least four patients have achieved complete cure from coronavirus illness, COVID-19 here in town and have been discharged from Corona Management Centre at Rawalpindi Institute of Urology while three more patients have been tested positive for the disease in the federal capital in last 24 hours.

According to details, the four patients undergoing treatment at CMC at RIU were discharged on Saturday in the presence of Medical Superintendent of RIU Dr. Khalid Randhawa who expressed hope that a number of other patients presently admitted to the CMC were stable and would be discharged soon.

It is important that to date a total of over 65 patients have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Rawalpindi and only four of them have so far been discharged after treatment.

After confirmation of three more patients positive from Islamabad Capital Territory in last 24 hours, the total number of confirmed patients in the federal capital has reached 78 of which three have already been discharged from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences after complete cure.

On Sunday, as many as 75 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were active cases in the ICT according to the official figure released by the Command and Control Centre. The COVID-19 has so far claimed no life in the federal capital where more than 55 confirmed patients were not admitted to the hospital instead they were under quarantine at their homes or in quarantine facilities.

In Rawalpindi, the disease has already claimed three lives while over 240 persons have been under quarantine and the district health department is monitoring their health status on regular basis.
