Shahbaz seeks more equipment for medical staff
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has demanded that the government provide more equipment to the medical staff.
He said the news of people committing suicide due to poverty is reflective of the dismal condition of this time. Paying tribute to his party workers involved in welfare services, he said it makes God happy when man helps his fellow man. “We will fight against coronavirus while standing shoulder-to-shoulder with people. We will not leave the masses alone,” he said while addressing a ceremony held for distributing protective kits.
He said daily wagers and weak segments of the society are bearing the brunt of the situation emanating from coronavirus.
It is unfortunate that people are committing suicides due to poverty, Shahbaz said and added: “May God be with us and we seek only His forgiveness.
“We will make every possible effort to provide protective equipment for coronavirus. It is also the real help of the masses that we follow precautionary measures,” he said, adding that with the blessings of Almighty Allah, one lakh kits are being prepared and will be distributed among the masses.
He said masks, sanitizers and soaps are included in the kits. He said the process of sending kits to every city and province has been started, adding that the process of serving the masses would be continued on the directions of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif.
