Pak Navy seizes 100kg of crystal meth
The Pakistan Navy in a joint operation with the Pakistan Customs Intelligence have recovered a huge cache of crystal meth. A spokesman for the Pakistan Navy said their personnel carried out an offshore intelligence-based operation with the Pakistan Customs Intelligence and seized approximately 100 kilogrammes of crystal meth in the Ibrahim Hyderi area near Bin Qasim.
The drug seized was worth around Rs1.6 billion and it was handed over to the Pakistan Customs Intelligence for the initiation of legal proceedings. The Pakistan Navy said the successful execution of the joint anti-narcotics operation was a result of prolonged surveillance and operational coordination demonstrating the navy’s effective monitoring of the coastline. Further investigations are under way.
