PM approves Rs784m for doctors’ allowances

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved Rs784 million supplementary grants for providing allowances for doctors working in four federal government hospitals.

This allowance has been approved by the government to incentivise hospitals and doctors for fighting against COVID-19.

According to notification issued by Ministry of Health Services, Regulation and Coordination, on a summary submitted to PM, he was pleased to approve increase in allowances of four health institutions under M/O NHSR&C with the stipulation that increase shall be made effective under preparation/finalization of key performance indicators (KPIs). Later on, the ECC and the federal cabinet approved supplementary grant of Rs784 million to meet increase of allowances of four federal government hospitals including Rs438.428 million for PIMS, Rs266.511 million for Federal Govt Poly Clinic, Rs38.512 million for NIRM and Rs40.549 Federal Government Hospital (FGH).

“It is requested that the requisite KPIs duly approved by the competent authority may pleased be furnished to this ministry on the most immediate basis to take up the case with the Finance Division,” said the notification.
