ISLAMABAD: Two cheques amounting to Rs15.135 million given by NAB Sindh, after deducting its 25% share, to the Sindh government in lieu of the money recovered from different officers through plea bargain have been bounced.
The Sindh government’s revenue and finance departments have sought permission of the chief minister for registration of FIR on charges of fraud against NAB. The cheques were submitted by NAB on September 12, 2015. When The News contacted Qudsia Kadri spokesman of NAB Sindh, she stated that she was unaware of any such development and if there is any such evidence this scribe should visit her office on Monday. I will inform you after checking from record, she said. The News, however, cross verified information from all sides and it was confirmed by all that these NAB cheques were bounced.
