An anti-terrorism court extended the police remand of four suspects for their alleged links with Indian spy agency RAW.
Abdul Jabbar, Mohammad Shafiq, Khalid Aman and Mohsin were charged with carrying out terrorists activities and having links with Indian spy agency RAW. The Investigation officer informed the court that one suspect Mohsin had confessed about his involvement in a bomb blast in North Karachi area, at the election camp of a political party in 2008.
The police alleged that suspects had acquired training of terrorism from India and had been working as employees at the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB).
They claimed the suspects were involved in a number of terrorist activities, including planting and detonating bombs in different parts of the city in 2008. The IO also claimed that the suspects had been working at the behest of the brother of MQM leader Qamar Mansoor.
