MANSEHRA: The District Bar Association (DBA) and trader community on Sunday postponed elections as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus. The fresh schedules would be announced the next month. "We have postponed our election in the light of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council’s decision. A fresh schedule would be announced on April 4,” Ayaz Khan, the chairman, DBA election board, told reporters here.

Also in the day, Fayyaz Sulheria, the chairman of the election committee constituted by the traders, announced the postponement of the elections.

“As the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government ordered the closure of the business centres and shops to contain the coronavirus in the province, we have to follow it in letter and spirit and this is why have postponed our elections,” Fayyaz told a news conference.
