Punjab Cooperative Union (PCU) has decided not to give its building to judiciary on rent as there is discussion to shift civil courts to PCU building.
The decision was taken in the Board of Director (BOD) meeting of the PCU here Friday which was chaired by PCU Chairman Humair Hayat Khan Rokhari. Addressing the meeting, PCU Chairman said the PCU was representative of 35,000 cooperative societies and playing a vital role in the promotion of social welfare. He said the PCU building was a symbol of unity of cooperative societies in the province and social welfare for the community. Thus, no such activities or decision should be taken which damages the image of the PCU and its building, the meeting decided. Chairman PCU said if the government took any unilateral decision and tried to implement it forcefully the PCU members would take to the streets across the Punjab.
