PAF plane on training mission crashes
TAKHT BHAI: A Mashak aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy, Risalpur crashed at Asif Killay in Takht Bhai in Mardan district due to technical fault. The pilot was injured in the crash. The Rescue 1122 ambulance rushed the injured pilot Abu Bakr to the Mardan Medical Complex wherefrom he was shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Mardan. The sources said the aircraft was on a training mission when it developed some fault. The pilot manoeuvred the aircraft to land at a deserted place to avoid causing casualties on the ground before ejecting out of the aircraft. Soon after the incident, the officials of the Rescue 1122, fire-fighters from the Tehsil Municipal Administration and Army helicopters arrived at the scene to rescue the injured pilot and transport him to the hospital.
