PHF making efforts to seal sponsorship deal for PSHL
KARACHI: In order to seek suitable sponsorship deal for the Pakistan Super Hockey League (PSHL), top officials of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) have been holding meetings these days with members of corporate sector and heads of various companies, ‘The News’ has learnt.
According to informed sources, PHF president Brig (retd) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar and secretary Asif Bajwa have lately been busy meeting a number of corporate personalities and heads of companies. The efforts are part of federation’s plan to organise the tournament in a befitting manner this year.
Meanwhile, around a dozen players have still not reported for the national team’s training camp underway at the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore. Among those, eight are currently busy playing in foreign hockey leagues with the permission of PHF.
However, the rest are reportedly reluctant to join the camp without any justifiable reason. Surprisingly, the PHF has yet to take any action against these players.
