Six factories sealed for adulteration in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: The teams of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) during routine checking sealed six factories for adulteration and violation of the PFA’s rules in city.
According to official source here on Sunday, the PFA’s food safety teams conducted raids against adulteration mafia and sealed six factories. The teams also seized 11,220kg pulp, 3,290kg raw papar, 160kg butter, 110kg Desi ghee, 1,200kg red chilli powder, 1,000kg whole red chilli and 920kg turmeric and dumped the same.
‘Training vital to improve performance of Fesco staff’: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company Chief Executive Officer Shafiqul Hassan has said that training is vital to improve performance of officials.
He was addressing a passing-out ceremony of sector specific course of sub-divisional officers (SDOs) at the Wapda Engineer Academy here on Sunday. He said that engineers were performing a key role in development of the country and urged engineers to serve consumers with dedication and honestly. Earlier, Wapda Engineering Academy Principal Hammad Ahmed addressing the course said the academy was providing modern technical training to engineers. As many as 35 participants took part in this course. Eng Shakeel Ahmed from Iesco stood the first, Imran Sadiq second and Madam Rafia Faisal remained third in course. The CEO awarded certificates and shields to successful participants of the course.
25 outlaws held: Twenty five persons were rounded up for decanting, selling loose petrol and over speeding here on Sunday.
According to official sources here, the Civil Defence Department team caught Usman and another from Sani Road Jhang Bazaar, Shan and Arslan from 238-RB, Nisar and Sajid from Chak 7-JB, Robin and Waleed from Lat Stop, Abdul Razzaq and Abdullah from Chak 100-JB, Muhammad Usman, Azeem and Zeeshan from Bilal Nagar on the charge of selling loose petrol and decanting. Meanwhile, police arrested Umar, Mazhar, Imran, Shafique, Babar Shahzad, Shoaib, Khizar Hayat, Allah Buksh, Aslam and Ahmed for violation of traffic laws. Separate cases have been registered against the accused.
