This refers to article ‘A tale of incompetence’ (Feb 5, 2020) by Muhammad Zubair. The writer has prudently expressed the overall weaknesses of the government in almost all fields and his criticism of the economic collapse is justified. There can be no two opinions about the government’s poor performance and its in-house troubles but at the same time he forgets to suggest what measures should be taken to improve the mess created by the PTI.
People are equally disappointed with the PML-N, which rather than debating national policy issues in parliament wastes the nation’s time by constant mudslinging. Pakistan is being buried under heavy debts that will ultimately lead to disaster. Would it not be better for the opposition to play a more positive role instead of spending all its efforts in maligning the incumbent government?
