Stuck in Wuhan
Coronavirus is spreading rapidly in China and throughout the world, the city where the virus originated from, Wuhan, is under a complete lockdown. Many countries are evacuating their citizens from Wuhan, with the exception of Pakistan. As per reports, 28,000 Pakistani women and children along with 80,000 Pakistani students have been left stranded in China. According to Senator Usman Khan Kakar, about 200 Pakistani students from his home province of Balochistan are stuck at the Urumqi airport.
Our government has stubbornly refused to bring back its citizens. What exactly are we waiting for? Our citizens must be quarantined but they should be brought back, otherwise any further delay could result in a disastrous situation and the state would be solely responsible. I urge the concerned authorities to take immediate action for our citizens stuck in China.
