More rain forecast

LAHORE: Rainy spell continued to prevail in the City on Tuesday while Met Office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Met officials said that a westerly wave was affecting upper parts of the country and was likely to persist till Wednesday. They predicted that cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. Rain with snowfall over the hills is expected in northeast Punjab, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Rainfall was observed in Okara, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Jhang, Faislabad, Mangla, Sahiwal, Mandi Baho Din, Jhelum, Toba Tek Singh, Gujrat, Murree, Kasur, Chakwal, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Attock, Narowal, Bahawalnagar, Sargodha, Joharabad, Noorpurthal, Kot Addu, Rawalakot, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Garhidupatta, Quetta, Kalat, Barkhan, Kakul, Malamjabba, Balakot and Cherat while snowfall was observed at Murree and Kalat. Tuesday's lowest temperature was recorded at Skardu where the mercury dropped to -18°C while in Lahore it was 8.6°C.
