Seminar
On the directions of NHMP IG Allah Dino Khawaja and under supervision of DIG Ali Sher Jhakrani, Uthal Sector organised a road safety seminar at DG Cement Factory in Hub and inaugurated safety helmet and back view mirror campaign at Hub toll plaza.
Sector Commander Asad led the seminar and helmet campaign. A large number of officers and officials of factory were present. The participants were briefed on defensive driving and road safety rules. Addressing the participants, DIG Ali Sher said in Pakistan thousands of people die every year in road crashes and motorcyclists are major contributors in them. Head injury is a major cause of death, serious injury and disability among bike riders and it can be avoided by use of standard safety helmets, following traffic rules and adopting road safety measures. At start of the campaign back view mirrors were installed at motorcyclists and safety helmets were distributed free of cost among road users.
