APNS committee asks govt to solve their problems
PESHAWAR: The Action Committee of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) in a meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai sought solution of their problems pertaining to tax payments and outstanding arrears.
A press release said the APNS committee also discussed the provincial information laws and acts with the minister. Secretary Information Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah and Director General Information and Public Relations Imdadullah were also present on the occasion. The delegation requested the inclusion of CPNE and APNS members in the concerned committee to amend the information act and laws.
Shaukat Yousafzai assured the action committee of solving their problems and said the government was working on devising a policy for the payment of arrears and outstanding amounts. He added that timely payment of dues to the media would be ensured in future.
