Fire erupts in SBP building in Sialkot
SIALKOT: A fire broke out in a building of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Friday. The fire erupted in the computer server room of the building situated near the district courts. The firefighters of the Rescue 1122 reached the spot and extinguished the fire. The fire caused by a short circuit damaged computers and other goods worth Rs 600,000.
EIGHT DRUG PEDDLERS HELD: Police Friday arrested eight drug peddlers and recovered narcotics from their possession. Kotwali police arrested Imran with 1.42 kg hashish and Nauman with 1.38 kg hashish, Nekapura police Amir with 1.5 kg hashish and Asim with 1.38 kg hashish, Mautrah police Shehbaz with 1.32 kg hashish and Kishan Masih with 1.34 kg hashish, Sambrial police Anjum Shehzad with 1.34 kg hashish and Airport police detained Khadim Ali with 10 liter liquor. Cases have been registered against the accused.
THREE KITE-FLYERS HELD: Police Friday arrested three kite-flyers. Rangpura Police detained Khan Bahadar, Nawaz Khan and Abdul Rehman from Kumaila Road and Talwara Mughlan when they were flying kites. Police booked the accused and recovered kites and rolls of string from their possession.
BOY ASSAULTED: A 15-year-old boy was assaulted here. Accused Ehsan, Azeem and their three accomplices assaulted Luqman sexually and made video of the incident near village Sngrial in the limits of Sabzpir police. The police registered a case against the accused and arrested one of them.
FIVE SHOPKEEPERS HELD: Police Friday arrested five shopkeepers for overcharging. On the report of Special Magistrate Shahid Imtiaz Nagra, Sabzpir police arrested shopkeepers Khalid, Barkat, Karamat Ali, Ashraf and Wasim when they were overcharging customers. Cases have been registered against the accused.
