NUST Business School awards degrees to 287 graduates

Islamabad : NUST Business School (NBS) held its 10th undergraduate & postgraduate convocation here at the main campus of National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) on Wednesday, says a press release.

Aziz Boolani, chief executive officer for Serena Hotels in South and Central Asia, was the chief guest at the ceremony and awarded degrees to 287 graduates. In his address, the chief guest appreciated the students, parents and faculty for their immense hard work and dedication. He urged the graduates to have faith in their abilities and embrace the challenges of life with a positive approach, and be passionate about their goals, while keeping alive the spirit of enquiry.

Earlier, Lt Gen (r) Naweed Zaman, HI(M), rector NUST, highlighted that NUST is ranked at # 400 in QS World University Rankings and its Management programmes are ranked at #428. He said that the future of NUST entails enhancing its international footprint and the first milestone has been achieved with the successful inauguration of the NUST Science & Technology Park (NSTP), the first-of-its-kind in Pakistan.

For Master of Business Administration, Gold Medal was awarded to Nimrah Chattha and Ayman Ather, and for Master of Science in Human Resource Management the Gold Medal was conferred upon Maheen Fatimah Hashmi and Adeel Ahmed Khan.

Rector’s Gold Medal for best Business Research Project for Masters in Business Administration (2016) was awarded to Amber Fawad and, for 2017, to Rabia Arif. Whereas, for Bachelors in Business Administration, the Gold Medal was awarded to Umama Malik.
