PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed the release of funds for the construction of hostel and payment of pending scholarships for the Cadet College Razmak.
Chairing a meeting of the 40th BoG meeting of the Cadet College Razmak, he approved the proposal of distribution of seats in 8th grade of Cadet College Razmak, said an official handout. Of these, a total of 50 seats were allocated for students from North Waziristan district and Razmak subdivision whereas 30 seats were reserved for the remaining tribal districts and Frontier Regions. Five seats were reserved for students on open merit from Punjab and Sindh, 20 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five from Balochistan, 10 seats on self-finance basis, 10 for the wards of FC personnel, five each for the wards of Razmians and college employees. The distribution of seats will be applicable with effect from 2020 entry of students.
The BoG approved the increase in various allowances which will be met from the already sanctioned budget. The meeting agreed to the proposal of increasing the allowances of all college employees from 20 per cent of basic pay to 50 pc along with the increase in extra duty allowance for senior housemaster, housemaster, assistant housemaster and messing officer keeping in view the difficulties involved in performance of their duties including round-the-clock stay on the campus. During the meeting, the Finance Department agreed to provide the required funds, subject to availability, for the uplift of the cadet hostels and staff residences to ensure a favourable environment for students and staff. The chief minister said KP government will extend full cooperation to the cadet colleges of the province, adding these colleges will have to improve their performance in line with the expectations and demands.
