Jamaat-e-Islami to observe protest in KP against price-hike
PESHAWAR: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced to observe protest across the province against the lingering flour crisis and hike in prices of daily use items on Friday.
The call for protest was given by provincial president of the JI, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan. Through a statement issued here, he said that the district heads of the party have been directed to stage protests at all the big cities of the province. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said the flawed policies of the incompetent rulers had made life miserable for the people.
The flour crisis across the country was tantamount to killing the people. The JI leader added that the prices of daily use items have gone out of the reach of the general public. "The rulers have no plan or vision to control the situation," he said.
