Writer Ahmad Bashir remembered

LAHORE:Death anniversary of noted journalist, intellectual and writer Ahmad Bashir was observed at Pak Tea House here on Thursday.

Ahmad Bashir’s daughters Bushra Ansari and Neelma Bashir, and his son Hamayun Bashir were also present on the occasion besides a large number of intellectuals, poets and writers. The speakers paid rich tribute to Ahmad Bashir.

Writer and journalist Ahmad Bashir will be remembered forever, said Neelma Bashir, adding he stood against dictatorship. She shared that Ahmad suffered a lot in his life due to his habit of speaking the truth. She highlighted different aspects of his life.

Bushra Ansari said her father never deceived anyone. She said, “My father had created friendly environment in our house. He never compromised throughout his life.”
