The brazenly unethical conduct of Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on a TV show is highly condemnable and pathetic. Vawda’s actions demand strict action by both the PTI government as well as Pemra. Mr Vawda, instead of playing the blame game and dishing out criticism for the sake of criticism, should focus on constructing new dams and resolving water scarcity issues. These stunts have no place cheapen political discourse and become a cause of embarrassment for the country on the world stage.
Our government should focus on the deteriorating economy, reactive foreign policy, endemic sectarianism and political marginalization instead of engaging in mudslinging and buck-passing. Mature and serious behaviour is imperative and is the need of the hour.
