LAHORE: The government wants to see the businesses growing, making profits, and creating wealth, as a nation cannot prosper without creation of wealth, a statement quoted Prime Minister Imran Khan as saying on Wednesday.
“The year 2020 will be the year of progress and prosperity and it’s our need that business community flourishes…,” said a Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (LCCI) release quoting the premier, who it said was in a meeting with their delegation that presented him with a roadmap to improve exports.
The document highlights the potential of various sectors of economy with proposals/execution to achieve the target of export-led growth, the chamber said adding that Prime Minister appreciated the LCCI plan and its supportive measures aimed at economic sustainability
of the country.
The statement further quoted Khan as saying, “The role of business community is important as it creates economic activities and the government is committed to facilitate the business community and taking various steps to create an environment conducive for businesses”.
“Our government is taking long-term, mid-term and short term measures to bring the economy back on the rail. The continuous support and co-operation extended by the business community have significantly improved the health of official revenues that gives me an immense satisfaction,” the statement cited Prime Minister as saying.
