Lahore: A meeting was held to review art and culture-related activities here on Thursday at Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall.

The meeting was chaired by Lahore Art Council Executive Director Athar Ali Khan. He said that the purpose of the meeting was to congratulate Alhamra’s staff on putting in their maximum efforts to promote cultural activities and making all previous programmes of the art council successful.

Ather Ali Khan said, “We are optimistic and determined to make Alhamra one of the best places to exhibit all kind of talent especially of our young and amateur artists and students who have just begun learning arts professionally.”

In this regard, a ghazal festival will be held at Alhamra Hall No. 2. Khan directed the officials to ensure the finest arrangements for the ongoing projects. Several suggestions were also finalised for further improvements at Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts. Officials from all departments of Alhamra attended the meeting and highlighted the performance, initiatives and plans of their respective departments. Instructions were issued to all the officers of the Alhamra to perform their duties vigorously.
