The Model Town Housing Scheme – Sargodha, spreading over an area of 410 acres, was initiated by Sargodha Improvement Trust (SIT) in 1991. Despite paying the dues owed for land and development charges over several years, allottees are yet to receive their plots. Now the recently established Sargodha Development Authority (SDA) has taken charge of this dormant, neglected and under-developed society.
Nobody knows how many years the SDA will now take, to handover the plots to the allottees. The SDA must revive this housing scheme and handover already allocated plots to owners as soon as possible.
