LAHORE:The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) sealed 62 treatment centres run by unqualified people.
The PHC enforcement teams inspected 369 treatment centres in different cities last week. Twelve quacks’ outlets were sealed in Jhang, 11 in Khushab , 10 in Layyah, seven in Okara, five each in Depalpur and Jatoi, four each in Sargodha and Toba Tek Singh, three in Lahore and one in Kasur. Al-Shifa Medical Store, Ali Clinic and Shakir Medical Store were sealed in Lahore.
Since its inception, the Commission has inspected over 61,000 treatment centres and sealed 23,532 quacks’ businesses. Moreover, Rs 478.60 million fine has been imposed on quacks,” said a spokesperson for the PHC.
