Crackdown against Multan marble factories polluting environment

MULTAN: The City District Administration Friday ordered sealing of marble factories involved in throwing solid waste at open places. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amir Khatak launched a crackdown on marble factories and constituted a committee headed by assistant director environment Hamid Akhtar to monitor the factories. The DC ordered sealing of the factories if they would continue throwing marble waste at open places. The committee served warning notices to all marble factories on Khanewal Road and asked the owners to dispose of marble waste in a proper way.
