Former prosecutor general NAB passes away

LAHORE: Senior lawyer and NAB former Prosecutor General Waqas Qadeer Dar passed away on Wednesday after a protracted ailment.
His funeral prayers were offered at Cavalry Ground and he was laid to rest in a graveyard of the area. Lahore High Court Chief Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh, other sitting and former judges of the court, senior lawyers and government law officers attended his funeral prayers.
Waqas Qadeer Dar was diagnosed with throat cancer some two years ago. Before being appointment as the NAB prosecutor general during PML-N’s last tenure in government, Dar had also served as deputy attorney general and assistant advocate general of Punjab.
