Destructive development

The CDA has started work on the Islamabad Expressway project without getting a no-objection certificate from the EPA. The expansion project may reduce traffic congestion a little but at the cost of almost 300 fully-grown trees. Cutting these trees will definitely affect the ecosystem.
Islamabad is considered to be one of the most beautiful capitals of the world because of its natural beauty and greenery – which is being destroyed instead of being preserved. Re-plantation can never replace the old, natural beauty because it takes a lot of time and care for a sapling to fully grow into a tree.
