Religious leaders flay Qassem’s killing
LAHORE: Religious leaders have strongly condemned the US drone strike at Baghdad airport killing chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) General Qassem Soleimani, and deputy head of the Iran-backed Iraqi Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, along with other junior officials.
Islami Tehrik Pakistan (ITP) leader Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi said that the colonial powers like US had threatened the world peace since Washington neither cared for human rights and sovereignty of independent countries nor respected the international laws and its own laws.
Talking to media on Friday, Allama Sajid Naqvi said the US aggression against Muslim countries had crossed all limits. He praised the role of Gen Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in resisting the western backed terrorism and wiping out a big threat besides countering the conspiracies of other colonial powers. He warned against the US aggression crossing every limit, saying US and its allies invaded and destroyed peaceful countries at their will without justification.
