Sallu hails PCB chiefs

KARACHI: With a historic treble against Sri Lanka earlier this summer and the announcement of the inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL), things are looking good for Pakistan cricket.
Former Test cricketer Salahuddin Ahmed Sallu, also a former chief selector, believes that the two gentlemen responsible for bringing an improvement in Pakistan cricket are PCB chief Shaharyar Khan and Najam Sethi, the chairman of the Board’s executive committee.
“Both Shaharyar Khan and Najam Sethi have really managed to turn things around for Pakistan cricket and I’m confident that the duo will bring more positive change in the future,” Sallu said.
He added that the team’s performance is getting better and stressed that the improvement is a direct result of positive policies of the PCB.
He stressed that Shaharyar’s efforts to bring international cricket back to Pakistan have also met success as Zimbabwe toured the country earlier this year. He hoped that more teams will also visit Pakistan in the near future.
Sallu also hailed Sethi’s announcement that inaugural edition of the PSL will take place next February in Doha, saying that the step will go a long way in the promotion of Pakistan cricket. “The league will help provide our players to compete along the best in the world,” he said.
