Minister says Ehsaas programme soon for deserving families
MANSEHRA: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Senator Azam Khan Swati on Friday said that the government was going to launch Ehsaas programme worth Rs650 million for the deserving families in the district.
“The well-off people have been enjoying monthly income from Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and this is why it is being overhauled,” Azam Swati claimed while speaking at a gathering in the Ghazikot area.
District Zakat Committee Chairman Jabran Malik and divisional information secretary of PTI, Ajmal Khan Swati, were also present on the occasion. He said the government was striving hard to put the country on way to economic stability and prosperity and time was not far away when all such targets would be achieved.
Azam Swati said that an amount of Rs650 million amount was earmarked for the deserving and needy families in the first phase and the money would be enhanced in the second phase.
Speaking on the occasion, Jabran Malik said that as a chairman of the district Zakat committee he would ensure that only deserving families and students benefited from scholarships and other welfare schemes.
